Plans for growth!!!
We are well into our fourth year of operations and our community has grown immensely!! We are planning on our next years being focussed on further growth and expansion. To get to where we are going we have to focus our attention on you, our valued members, it is not lost to us that we work for you and without you we wouldn’t have the opportunity to do what we love and that is making you all better. To take care of you we plan to develop our Above All coaching team.
We have made changes to the coaching team and created a new position. New on the tem roster is Curt McGorman, Curt has had a full career as a Fitness Coach, he is here to help you better understand your movements and share his knowledge. Matt Russel, Ben Thurmeier, Jorgia Van De Sype and Carly Duke, these longterm membershave acquired their Level 1 CrossFit certifications with the intent to be of assistance to you all, and you will see them shadowing and helping by filling in session and giving general guidance to members who seek clarity in their movement understanding. These Animals have been an exciting addition to coaching roster. The more level 1’s we have in the building the better!!! Anybody interested in gaining this knowledge and helping your fellow Animals should strongly consider this course, we want you all to be knowledgable in the intricasies of training modalities. Josh DeBolt, Josh has taken a role as Head Coaches assistant, he is apprenticing to develop a career in Fitness, his role is to gain knowledge and handle any of the back end details that would otherwise be handled by the head coach. We feel development of this new role will take years and training somebody from within is far more ideal than bringing somebody in from outside who doesn’t understand what its like to be an Animal. Over the next year know that what Josh is bringing to you is coming directly from Head Coach Curtis Laughren, Curtis can not be in the facility passing his message on to you as much as he wants so bringing Josh in will allow him to communicate to more members through the week. Curtis plans to spend this year coaching athletes at competitions and spending time away to furthering his education by learning from the greats in the human performance and strength & conditioning world. We believe this will ensure we deliver high value coaching to you all and set us up for many successful years.
